No adjustment required.....easy to conceal. The HT30 heater works safely while hidden near the aquarium bottom. just submerge heater in the aquarium and plug it into an outlet. unlike hang-on heaters, there is no reason to remove heater during partial water changes, as long as it stays submerged.
